We are so excited for you to join us on our special day! Save the date for Saturday October 9th, 2021 in Los Angeles, CA. We got married with immediate family in attendance on September 13th 2020, and now want to celebrate our marriage with all of our friends and family.

COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will masks/testing be required? We plan to follow CDC and local guidance regarding mask and testing recommendations. We'll let attendees know the week of the event.
  • Will the event be indoors or outdoors? We're hoping for an indoor event, but depending on local guidance we may shift the event outdoors. We won't know until within two weeks of the event.
  • Is there any possibility that the event won't happen? COVID-19 forecasting has proven challenging for us! Yes, if California prevents large gatherings, we will need to cancel the event to comply with the law. We will also make our own safety judgements based on forecasting of COVID-19 prevalance, variants, etc.
  • What is the COVID-19 vaccination policy? We strongly recommend that all guests receive a COVID-19 vaccine. If you are not fully vaccinated, we require a negative test within 24 hours of the event. We inquire about vaccination status on the RSVP form. Please contact us if you have further questions.

Our story

On our first day of college, we moved into Turman Hall at Emory University. We became quick friends and started dating later the same year. After graduating from Emory, Ariella worked in Connecticut as part of Teach For America while Josh worked with the Nationals in Washington, DC then started his PhD at the University of Michigan. In July 2017, Ariella joined Josh at the University of Michigan for medical school. In June 2018, Josh took Ariella on a trip to Traverse City, MI and proposed to her in a vineyard on Lake Michigan (they make wine in Michigan too!). As of May 2021, Ariella and Josh now live in Washington, DC, where Ariella is a pediatric resident, and Josh is a postdoctoral scholar.

Welcome to the party! Enjoy delicious appetizers and have a cocktail on the patio.

Havdalah 7:00PM

Havdalah is a Jewish ritual that marks the end of the Sabbath. This occurs just after sunset.

Dinner and Dancing 7:30PM

The night continues with dinner! Dance to music performed by our band.
